well let's catch up ... wow where do I start?
December 2013 we moved to Lakeport. Love It.
January 2014 Jim and I and Keegan and La Roux started our first nosework classes. It's three courses of six classes. Started in January and ended in June.
May 2014 we got our first Lagotto Romagnolo ... the "truffle hunting dog" She's hypoallergenic and has the best personality ever. Us and the poodles love this girl we call "Brielle." She's dark brown with a blaze of white. She's awesome at nosework. Definitely bred to use to snoz.
June 25, 2014 Keegan and Viktor had nine puppies. The "O" litter. They are magnificent. Wonderful and gorgeous red kleinpudel puppies.
August we got real busy. I was going to only breed Reba and Fifi. Reba had a beautiful litter of reds with Viktor. In fact we still have one little boy "Pierre" he will be six months old February 27th. Awesome puppies.
Fifi had six beautiful gorgeous puppies with Viktor, four boys and two girls. First born was a red boy. Really a beautiful boy. Rigby is kick-butt show quality and looks and acts just like his momma. We still have them both available.
Then an oops breeding with La Roux and Murray. Who's Murray? He's Viktor's and Reba's son from 2013. Awesome guy. I was keeping him long enough to test him to track Reba's line when we had the oops with La Roux. She had a beautiful litter of larger kleinpudels. They all will be 17-18" but they have that awesome European body. We are keeping Quest, now called "Sonny." He's a toughien and a beauty.
We got "Coco" from the east coast. She's Fifi's half sister's daughter. She's brown but bluing. She was suppose to be a kleinpudel but ... surprise! she's a standard poodle. She's really beautiful.
In August we got Napolean. Our big black dog. Standard poodle that was suppose to be ... well I thought he would be anyways ... about 23". Not yet one year old he's 24-25". He's beautiful. Leon started nosework classes January 2015.
... but wait, I'm getting a head of myself just a little.
January 18th we took La Roux, Keegan and Brielle to their first birch ORT (odor recognition test). La Roux got disqualified for being in season. Something we hadn't practiced in class ... LOL. I put a diaper on her and Jim started towards their lineup. They stopped him and said "nope, got to tell us a head of time." Too bad b/c she would have gotten her birch, she was ready, as the other two were ready and they got their ORT in birch. So proud of them. Rescheduling La Roux when she's not in season. Another trip, no problem, Keegan and Brielle can go to their ORT for anise.
whew, right?
January we also started puppy obedience with Coco (well Jim took Coco), I took Quirley a beautiful puppy we still had available. She's now gone and we look forward taking Coco and Sonny (Quest) to the next puppy class. Coco is doing really well.
We are now planning on our lagotto romagnolo male puppy being imported from Italy. If everything goes well we will have a beautiful boy in March/April.
I went ahead and bred Reba to Leon. Wanted to size down a great boy just like his dad, but now our house is so full ... whew, maybe not. Anyways, she's due about March 28th.
so that's us for the past year. I will see if I can upload a bunch of pictures from our summer/autumn litters. They are beautiful.
more later, thanks for stopping in.
